OpportunityAbout this opportunity: Help make a difference to the lives of adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse by joining our Board at Safe Space, a specialist trauma agency based in Dunfermline providing one to one counselling and a range of therapeutic groups. Safe Space has supported individuals, parents, and relatives for over 25 years, and they are now looking to grow their board with people who can work with them to develop our ongoing values, goals, and objectives to ensure that they continue to provide a healing and supportive journey for survivors.
Safe Space are looking for committed individuals who can share their relevant skills and experience to help support the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity alongside the Chair and other established board members. They would be particularly interested in hearing from applicants with experience in counselling and therapy work, work with vulnerable people, and/or knowledge of the Scottish voluntary sector.Takes place: mornings afternoons evenings Mondays Tuesdays 
Wednesdays Thursdays Fridays Saturdays Sundays Minimum age: 18 Maximum age: 100 Training provided: Board members are asked to attend a brief induction course at Safe Space to learn more about the organisation. Out of pocket expenses paid?
Yes - Reasonable travel expenses can be reimbursed. Mileage rate is 45p per mile.Experience required: Each board member is appointed based on their experience, contacts and interests, and applications are welcome from anyone with relevant skills and experience to share with the charity.
